The spitting rain and blustery wind only added to the atmosphere of the poetic and music filled day yesterday at the third Saturday of the CULTURE & ARTS FESTIVAL 16 and what a day it was.
A big thank you from The Icon Factory to all the supporters, public passer-by, performers and volunteers, who came out in their droves yesterday despite the cloudy sky for the CULTURE & ARTS FESTIVAL 16.
In music they say the debut album is nearly always best and the second one is a very hard follow up. Not always true though! we thought yesterday was a brilliant day and we enjoyed it a lot.
It is our great pleasure to invite you all to join our August Festival Project: Use The Lanes, Walk The Lanes, Love the Lanes.
What an amazing day! Friday the 3rd of June saw The Icon Factory with the help of staff from Starbucks and The Hard Rock Cafe give the Icon Walk it’s annual paint face-lift and clean-up.
Thank you so much to the Starbucks and The Hard Rock Cafe volunteers for their time, enthusiasm and energy – painting of the lanes completed in less then 2 hours! Last years record was beaten!
What an amazing team! Thank you to the Starbucks volunteers for your time, enthusiasm, and also your energy – painting of the lanes completed in 2 hours only!
The Icon Factory established an Internship Programme. Internships run for a six month period. Interns work part-time for 3 days a week and will gain experience in the running of an art gallery and cultural project.
The Icon Project got some good news recently. After careful negotiation, we have managed to lower our basic expenses for being here which released funding that now allows us to start some renovation works and expand and improve our exhibition area. As a charity, The Icon Project has a precarious existence in these tough times, so we like to share our positive experiences with you when they happen.
The Icon Walk, a guided tour which begins at 6pm. (Meeting point : The Icon Factory, Aston Place). The gallery will also be open with its current exhibition where people can meet exhibiting artists who will share the background to their work.
