We are proud to annouce our latest exhibition at The Icon Factory. We will share work by local artist Jelena Demchenkova. Her work has a marvelous, colourful storybook quality. This multidisciplinary artist, actress, singer, painter and stage designer will show collection of her recent work.

This is how theJelena describe herself:

"Well, it is very hard to write this bio, but let’s get started. My name is Jelena Demchenkova. As I remember I always liked to draw, but I took it seriously only about eight years ago, I don’t know why, maybe it was just the right time. I take ideas for my drawings and paintings from observing the different lives around - human relationships, feelings, nature, movies and literature. I try to use different techniques and media. It is very interesting to try to find different ways to realise your thoughts. Little facts about myself, I came to Ireland in 2000 from Estonia. I am Russian, was born near Moscow. I studied at Liberties College and have a diploma in interior design. I worked at Ballyfermot Theatre Workshop as a Production Assistant, where I designed six pantos and two plays. I also worked at the Dublin Russian Theater as an actress and stage designer. I’ve had several exhibitions at Blanchardstown Library and have illustrated a few Russian books. This exhibition has black and white and colour works. Most of them are new, some I made a few years ago, but I wanted to show you them as well. You can find my ideas from the name of them. I hope it’s not too complicated."

Cannot be missed!
Exhibition runs till 28th of November.
